The Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is one of the greatest natural wonders of the world stretching from the northern tip of Australia to just north of Bunderburg. It’s coral reefs stretch over 2000km along the eastern coast.

The reef is a sanctuary for well over 1000 fish varieties, whales, dolphins, dugongs and turtles. Many different types of birdlife can be found here.

The coral which forms the reef itself is also a living thing. When it dies it turns white. Different types of coral grow at varying speeds, while some are quite quick to grow, some take well over a hundred years to fully grow. There colors are by the growth of algae on it.

The reef lives in a tropical climate relying on warm shallow water to survive. Salty water and plenty of light is required to keep the coral healthy.

With hundreds of thousands of square miles of reef it is diving and snorkelling mecca. Access through diving tours are available from the mainland up and down the coast. Even if you don,t swim you can see the marvels of the reef through glass bottom boats.

The reef is heritage listed and vast areas are protected from fishing and removing coral from the reef is prohibited to preserve it for generations to come.

Keystone Night Skiing

Keystone offers the finest night skiing in Colorado with lights on 15 different slopes and a great terrain park. Night skiing starts at 4pm and ends at 10pm.
All of the night skiing at Keystone is on the front face of the mountain featuring great runs like the spring dipper. The Keystone Gondola will service most of the night skiing.
The spring dipper is a great long fast groomer with great high speed turns which makes the spring dipper a night skiing favorite. The frenchman is a great groomer which you can carve the most perfect turns, with ease and the big rollers will allow you to take flight if you want this. Always remember to give the right away to slower skiers and always ride in complete control. Your life and others are all always at risk when alpine skiing, so please be careful.
The Keystone terrain park offers many different types of rails, boxes and jumps. Some of the ski jumps are huge, so be careful and be sure to go big! If you fall short of the downhill, you’ll regret it. You can spend hours of time jumping and riding the rails in the Keystone terrain park, but please don’t forget about the rest of the mountain, I promise there are other super fun ski runs for you to enjoy.

Silver Argentina

Argentina is one of the most southernly located country in South America. It is situated between the Andes Mountains to the west and the southern Atlantic Ocean in the east and south. The world Argentina comes from the latin word for silver, argentum. The history of the name goes way back to some of the first voyages that were made by the Spanish expeditionists to the River Plate Region. Survivors of a shipwrecked expedition, Led by by Juan Daz de Sols, discovered indigenous people in the of Argentina who he gave silver objects as gifts. News of the Incredible Sierra del Plata a mountain that is rich with silver got to Spain in about 1524. After that the Spanish called the river of Sols, Ro de la Plata ( The River of Silver).
